First topic message reminder :
any one ?
now i am speaking of the current series, although if anyone has seen the original please feel free to discuss as it is nice to compare to the remake.
personally, i love it ^^ . i do remember the old BBC series that aired here in the US on PBS (Public Broadcast Station) now it took me a bit to get use to the changing of "The Doctor"
from series I to series II, i know that's how its supposed to work in the orig series, and in the comics (yes he had his own comic and appeared regularly with in the pages of Death's Head and .. *gasps* Transformers )
.. but on television with different actors .. its an adjustment
anyways ..

Re: Doctor Who
I loved that one! that would have made a great end of a series episode, not that I didn't really like the way this series ended, but still, lets see, past the family blood, so now you're on to Utopia and where you find out where Jack has been and how he got back to the present.. I will warn you there are spoilers in this episode that filter into the begining or Torchwood, so don't be too surprised if you've seen it before you see the series.
Some backstory so you know exactly when it takes place in chronological order, the very last bit of series one of Torchwood, you see Jack standing in the Torchwood base (its under that square in Cardiff they keep showing through out Who, right where the rift is), you hear the TARDIS engines, Jack smiles, then you cut to the rest of the team coming to see him, and they find he's gone. You next see Jack running for the TARDIS at the start of Utopia.

Re: Doctor Who
umm.... you should have seen his final secret already, in Gridlocked it was episode three of this series, where they were stuck in the moterway under New New York, unless for some reason they're moving them around in order here 0.o there should only be 4 shows left "Blink" "Utopia" "the sound of drums" and "the last of the time lords".
However, I will say, you do find out who The Face of Boa really is soon, and you'll be like "Say what!!" when you find out... lol

Re: Doctor Who
lmao .... i havent seen them in order LOL
just caught the 1st two eps yesterday when BBC America showed them .... guess i missed a hella-lot
o well .... i dint care about chronological order anyways
i do have one question tho about plot continuity tho
how come when the Doctor 1st met Rose and Mickey he called Mickey - "Rickey" ... and it wasnt until after Satilite V and the Doctor's regeneration that they go to the Alternate Cardiff and meet Rickey ...
my memories of my early childhood are fuzzy at best, was there any time in the past that the Doctor went to this Alternate demension (previous incarnation) oO did i miss some thing ?

Re: Doctor Who
ok .. so i caught essentially what is ep3 of the Dr. Who series that David Tennant(sp) begins.
In this ep we see the Doctor and Rose meet Queen Victoria and the foundation of 'Torchwood'
now .. in this eps we revist the 'werewolf' mythos.in which by the end say that Queen Victoria had been bitten by the "wolf" and that a single (wolf) cell would take centuries to mature ... im thinking this is why Queen Elizabeth hates the Doctor.
that it is the same "wolf gene" that Queen V has when she exiles Rose and the Dr. from England

yes it is ... but as far as TV shows go here in the US
SciFi has done a good job at keeping it current (and by copyright law, they play them as fast as they can)
i also get to catch up on what i missed via BBC America

- Spoiler:
Series Five
Doctor Who to return for fifth series in 2010.
After months of media speculation, the BBC can confirm that the
BAFTA award-winning Doctor Who will return for a fifth series in Spring
2010.
Viewers are in for a treat this Christmas, as a special episode
starring David Tennant and Kylie Minogue will be broadcast on BBC One
in December 2007.
Series Four, which went into production in July 2007, will hit UK
screens in Spring 2008, followed by a special episode for Christmas
2008.
In 2009 Doctor Who will return with three specials starring David Tennant, with Head Writer, Russell T Davies.
The full-length fifth series will transmit in 2010.
Jane Tranter, Controller, BBC Fiction, says: "Doctor Who is one of
the BBC's best loved and most successful dramas. Its journey over the
past three series has been one of the most ambitious and exciting that
we have had, and I'm delighted to be able to confirm not only three
exciting specials for 2009, but a fifth series in 2010. "
Menna Richards, Controller, BBC Wales, says: "The success of Doctor
Who is a fantastic tribute to the dedication and expertise of the
production team at BBC Wales who have worked on the project from the
outset. This announcement is marvellous news for all involved, and more
importantly for the programme's amazing fan base and audience. BBC
Wales is looking forward to producing the fifth series."
Following the critically acclaimed season three finale, the BBC has
announced that Catherine Tate is set to return to the TARDIS for the
complete 13-week run of series four, reprising her role as Donna from
the 2006 Christmas special.
Freema Agyeman, who won praise for her portrayal of Martha Jones in series three, is also set to return mid series four.

Re: Doctor Who
Well sence Hyperactive McSpoilitforthosewhodidn'twatchtheendyetFanboy here gave away the man controlling all of this series and kind of killed the whole anticipation for it... I can tell ya...
The Master is a fellow Timelord, and infact the Doctor's oldest friend and one of this worst enemies, they've been friends going back to childhood and where the Doctor was always good, the master would see bad. They used to go at it alot in the original series, which i just loved, The Master was so awesomely played back in the day. He was infact the most requested return villian when the show's rebirth was announced. He is also the only other Timelord the Dalek's actually fear.
oh and also, i download the show as it comes out on the net, so I'm actually about on timetable with when it airs first, normally about 5 hours or a day behind at most, so I've got all three series patched up in a nice home made DVD sets already.

Re: Doctor Who
Well yeah used a spoiler tag but thats not the point! If he's bothered to even read through here, and used common sense he'd noticed that though i've seen everything already, (from the 1964 to current ha!) I wasn't blurting out stuff cuz that ruins the whole show for you or anyone else reading this cuz its rude.. specialy seeing as really you were only two shows away from finding out all of this for yourself. Its kind of like waiting till 3 minutes before the climax of a three and a half hour movie or something and then giving away the ending so those that haven't seen it have no surprise or build up... dunno people that do that bother me.
Same reason why if you read through all my reviews that i've posted online that i do for work, i never give away endings or plot elements directly, i'll make a fuzzy or sarcastic comment to leave some surprise to it for people that haven't watched it yet. Dunno its just a critic ethics thing I guess... *shrugs*
