Re: Underdog
Its.... not very good, got my screener for work two days ago, watched it as a way of hiding from the inlaw and the rest of bella's family that are visiting us for this month. I honestly zoned out alittle before the 1 hour mark.
This honestly would have been better off being called "Air Bud: Superpup" or something, other then the names, there is no connection AT ALL to the old show. Underdog doesn't talk in rhyme, he's not a reporter, polly isn't a reporter, they're people's pets, the only redeaming thing in the whole movie is the very few times Simon Barsinister tries to emulate his cartoon counterpart but only ends up sounding like he's doing a really bad james cagney impression. its definately a wait till its on cable/satilite kind of movie, after all i'm sure Disney's gonna pimp the hell out of it.
The only really sad thing is, assuming Disney now owns the show, with the expected poor showing of the movie, we might never see a proper dvd release of the show. so long time fans more then likely will be stuck trying to hunt down the rare dvd with the ultra rare pilot and afew other episodes on it.

Re: Underdog
yeah saddly, not so good. It just doesn't work when Underdog and Polly are people's pets... it just becomes Krypto. Now don't get me wrong Krypto is awesome, but if you're gonna make a movie about Krypto, call it krypto, not prison rape Underdog to make it.

UnderDog
Yeah...sometimes it's best if they just leave things alone.....I too used to love watching UnderDog.
Howard Stern used to have a TV show that came on late at night back in the late 1980's out of WWOR in New Jersey. He once had "The UnderDog Lady" on as a guest, at least that's how he referred to her. She was the original creator of the UnderDog cartoon. Howard Stern was mean and insulting towards her as he usually is to most people. He treated it like it was a big joke, but she tried very hard to ignore it and she tried to actually talk about UnderDog. She was dressed in an UnderDog costume (from the neck down) and she had her hair done in ponytails...(or is it pigtails??) to give the illusion of big floppy dog ears. She said that the original UnderDog cartoon was supposed have an opera feel to it. She made him a dog to appeal to children, but opera, song and ethics/morals were all supposed to be conveyed through the cartoon.
In any case....it was a very fun cartoon and this remake movie was kind of a let down. After all....look what they did to Inspector Gadget.
LOL.
