The Convertors Empty The Convertors

The Convertors featured the conflict between the heroic Defenders (and their Avarian allies) & the evil Maladroids (and their Insectors allies).Often compared to the more famous Gobots & Transformers, The Convertors were a line of action figures manufactured by Select in the 1980s and were featured in a display in the 1985 J. C. Penney Christmas catalog.

As was practice of the time, some of the Convertors’ toy designs were licensed from Bandai, meaning some of the toys looked very similar with molds for The Convertors later knocked off by other toy companies.
