Arcane:  Understood by few; mysterious or secret. Synonyms: mysterious, secret, hidden, concealed, covert, clandestine, enigmatic, dark, esoteric, obscure, abstruse, recondite, little known, recherché, inscrutable, impenetrable, opaque, incomprehensible, cryptic, occult.

Digital: Relating to or using calculation directly with digits rather than through measurable physical quantities; of or relating to data in the form of numerical digits digital images digital broadcasting expressed as a series of the digits 0 and 1, typically represented by values of a physical quantity such as voltage or magnetic polarization.

Digital Technologies: Digital technologies are electronic tools, systems, devices and resources that generate, store or process data. Well known examples include social media, online games, multimedia and mobile phones. Digital learning is any type of learning that uses technology.

Exchange: The act or process of substituting one thing for another; reciprocal giving and receiving; something offered, given, or received in an exchange.

Magic (Majik): The use of means (such as charms or spells) believed to have supernatural power over natural forces; magic rites or incantations: an extraordinary power or influence seemingly from a supernatural source; something that seems to cast a spell or enchantment; the art of producing illusions by sleight of hand.

Magitek (or "Magitech"): Often appears to combine magic with modern technology or at least something distinctively mechanical: traditional heat engine or an electrical generator powered by or powering a magic spell.

Science: The pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence. Scientific methodology includes the following: Objective observation: Measurement and data;  an area of study that deals with the natural world (as biology or physics); a subject that is formally studied the science of linguistics.

Technology: The sum of any techniques, skills, methods, and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific investigation. Technology can be the knowledge of techniques, processes, and the like, or it can be embedded in machines to allow for operation without detailed knowledge of their workings. Systems (e.g. machines) applying technology by taking an input, changing it according to the system's use, and then producing an outcome are referred to as technology systems or technological systems.

Technomancy: A category of magical abilities that either affect technology, or to magical powers that are gained through the use of technology; the combination of magic and technology.

Techromancy: The act of trying to revive an aging/obsolete computer by trying to upgrade its component rather than replace them. Using antiquated tools, methods or process to achieve or simulate advanced technology.
