Highlander: The Search for Vengence

I recently picked this up, it's actually pretty good they kept with most of the lore from the original Highlander movies only they put the Anime twist on it.

I recomend it but it's rated 18+ for blood, gore, language, violence and brief nudity so younger viewers use caution.

Here's the synapsis from the back cover,

In this new tale, the lone warrior Colin travels with the wise cracking ghost Amergon across a desolate landscape searching for the immortal despot Marcus Octavius, who killed his lover Moya on the Celtic plains tens of centuries ago. Will Colin lead the people to freedom or become consumed by hate? The answer may lie with the beautiful yet tough freedom fighter Dahlia, who has a mysterious connection to Moya. Colin must confront Marcus in a showdown where the future of all men will be decided. There can be only one......

so i am assuming this is waaay better than that previous Highlander the animated series from the 90's ??

It's made by one of Japans top Anime directors, Yoshiaki Kawajiri, I highly reccomend checking it out.

I picked up the first issue of Otaku USA, not only was it on the cover but they gave a glowing review. I haven't watched it yet but they said that one of the scenes is a battle of the Immortals as Colin (with Katanna) fights another immortal (with a freakin' chainsaw!) After reading that I thought that fight alone would be well worth what I paid for it. I'll probably watch it tonight or tomorrow.

Yeah the 'chainsaw' fight is pretty interesting, I liked it.

That stinks, Ah well they probably butchered it with editing anyway?
