The newest noob

Hey all, I guess I should have stopped in here first. My bad for not reading through the index thoroughly. I have been wandering through numerous boards with the screen name "UNCLE123". I usually hang out on the Sci-Fi channel's forum system. I have over 4,000 posts on the "Who Wants To Be a Superhero?" forum. I started my own board a couple of months ago. There was so much drama on the SciFi system...people fighting, backstabbing, etc....I had posted a lot of fanfiction stories and many of them got deleted or the threads were locked because of troublemakers. I lost a lot of my work. I managed to back some of it up, but sadly I lost a lot of stuff that wasn't backed up. All those hours of work gone for good. So now I have my own board but it's just not the same. I spend too much time moderating and trying to add modifications and join web rings and making graphics. It's like work! I spend a lot of time trying to learn how to do all of these things. I have very little HTML or Javascript skills. When I was a teenager I had an old-fashioned dial-up BBS using WWIV software. And then later on I was a co-sysop on a RENEGADE BBS system but that was a long time ago and I haven't kept up with technology and software! LOL.


My interests are science fiction, comic books, superheroes, creative writing, pets/animals and music....especially classic rock and 80's stuff.

OK, so I've rambled a bit.

Any way, I'm glad to find this community, it looks neat. I'm going to poke around a bit and read through some threads.

Yeah life can be a high speed train of stress at times. It's great to be able to have a calm and friendly place to hang out from time to time. Coolness.
